Upcoming Diversity Events

Community Days is an interactive program offered to the entire New York Law School community. The program provides an opportunity to reflect on the evolution of the law and legal practice in our rapidly changing world, through the context of racism and race.

The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion supports students, administration and staff, faculty, and alumni in addressing all aspects of diversity, with a focus on underrepresented communities and military veterans.

Pre-Law Pipeline Program

In 2019, NYLS launched its Summer Pre-Law Program for college students. The School is developing an additional pipeline program for working professionals.

The goal of the program is to provide individuals from underrepresented populations with a dedicated set of opportunities to explore the law and create a pathway to earn their J.D. degrees at NYLS.

About the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

From application through graduation and admission to the bar, the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion helps diverse students fully engage in the academic programs, student and career services, and opportunities offered by NYLS. For students, this means providing an educational environment that educates, challenges, and develops the knowledge, values, cultural competency, and professional skills needed to become a 21st century attorney, prepared to serve in an increasingly global workplace.

The Office partners with diverse alumni, affinity bar associations, and other advocacy organizations to expand opportunities, so that every student and employee can succeed and exceed their expectations.
