INTERNATIONAL BANKING LAWS AND REGULATION (2) (BUS 904)

This course will provide an in-depth analysis of U.S. regulation of international banks, BASLE activities, international bank services activities and regulation, the roles played by the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the Export Import Bank of the U.S., the Bank for International Settlements, the Continuous Linked Settlement Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the various Central Banks. It will examine carefully the laws, regulations, and practices involving bank deposit requirements, money transfers, export controls and embargoes, bank secrecy and numbered accounts, and the International Monetary Exchange.
