Introduction to the legal and policy issues raised by computers and the Internet. This course will consider how legal doctrine changes (or sometimes, stays the same) as more and more aspects of daily life move online. Legal topics include jurisdiction, free speech, privacy, intellectual property, e-commerce, and online crimes. No background in computers is needed; the relevant history and technology will be taught in class
