Cohen Sex Crimes and Child Abuse is a combination lecture, discussion
and trial advocacy course. The course will cover key aspects of sexual
assault and child abuse including: DNA, rape shield law, date rape, cyber
predators, statutory sexual assault, Megan‘s Law, shaken baby
syndrome and other evidentiary issues. Students will be required to
participate in class discussions, mock trial exercises and have the option
of a paper or final exam. THIS COURSE IS NOT OPEN TO ANYONE WHO TOOK CHILD
VICTIMS AND THE LAW.
