Professor Stephen D. Kahn
Study of how U.S. statutory and common laws protect valuable information, technical and otherwise from wrongful acquisitions. Trade secret law covers information that is also subject to patent and copyright protection, but in different ways and under different sets of rules. The course will supplement the IP survey course focusing on the important but often ignored area of intellectual property law and consider in depth how it interacts with but differs from patent and copyright law.
