This required course provides an
overview of the United States Constitution, theories of constitutional
interpretation, and basic constitutional doctrine. It covers material
tested on the multistate portion of the bar exam. Major topics include
judicial power, the distribution of power between the national government
and the states, the scope of Congress' enumerated powers, executive power,
separation of powers among the three branches of the federal government,
state power to regulate interstate commerce, substantive due process,
procedural due process, and equal protection.
