Contracts (4) (REQ 300)
Professors Tamara Belinfanti, Tai-Heng Cheng, Jeffrey Haas, Peter Kostant, Arthur Leonard, Carlin Meyer and Houman Shadab
Focuses on the treatment of contractual and similar obligations under the common law and Article 2 of the Uniform Commercial Code, with particular emphasis on the creation of such obligations, theories of enforceability, and remedies for breach.  At the election of the instructor, the course may also consider issues of interpretation, grounds for limitation or avoiding obligation, and the extension of obligation to third parties as beneficiaries or assignees.
