Real Estate Externship Seminar
The Real Estate Externship Seminar is a 1-credit course required for all students enrolled in the 2-credit externship and placed in an organization focused on real estate or land use. The seminar will meet over the course of the term (either every week for 50 minutes, every other week for 100 minutes, or some other combination as determined by the Instructors). The Seminar will provide students with an opportunity to explore substantive areas of real estate law and/or other issues relating to the practice of real estate law (such as ethics, law practice management, interactions with supervisors and clients, policy issues, business concerns, career planning and evaluation, etc.) in a classroom setting. In addition, the students will have an opportunity to discuss their placements with each other in order to see what common issues arise in the legal practice of real estate.
