Real Estate: Commercial Leasing Law
This course focuses on all aspects of commercial leasing; the landlord and tenant relationship; and the planning, drafting, negotiation, and implementation of a commercial lease transaction. It covers all aspects of commercial leasing, including ground leases, subleases, occupancy agreements and licenses for office space, retail locations, shopping centers, satellite antennas, billboards, and other commercial spaces. This course uses case studies and also focuses on the drafting and negotiation of commercial leases.
Prerequisite: Property (REQ 500). Real Estate Transactions and Finance (LND 100) or Real Estate Development (LND 140) is recommended but neither is required.
