The Wills Clinic will provide basic estate planning to individuals who otherwise could not afford a lawyer. It will be a four credit graded clinic, based on performance in fieldwork and in class participation. Student work typically will include screening inquiries, interviewing clients, preparing retainer agreements, investigating client’s circumstances, researching the applicable law, counseling clients and drafting appropriate estate planning documents and advance directives. Students may also make presentations to senior citizen centers. The clinic will also be open to students seeking only one or two credits; faculty will reduce responsibilities for such students.
