F. Peter Phillips

Director, Alternative Dispute Resolution Skills Program

F. Peter Phillips is a teacher, trainer,consultant, mediator and arbitrator.  After litigating for 11 years with New York firms Cahill Gordon & Reindel and Schulte Roth & Zabel LLC, he was invited to join the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR Institute), where he served as Senior Vice President for 10 years and as Interim President.  He is author/editor/chapter contributor for seven books, has written numerous articles, and wrote and co-directed four CEDR-Award-winning films, produced by the Harvard Kennedy School, on the use of mediation in company-community disputes.  He frequently lectures on ADR topics in the United States and abroad. He is listed with many ADR organizations, including AAA, CPR, International Mediation Institute (certification), New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators (accreditation), the Southern District of New York, FINRA, and the New Jersey Academy of Mediators and Arbitrators.  He is a graduate of Dartmouth College and an alumnus of New York Law School.
