Financial Aid

To apply for financial aid for the London summer program, please follow the instructions below.

If you have any questions about the financial aid process, please contact Mr. Christopher Clarke, the Director of Financial Aid, at (212) 431-2871. You can also send an e-mail to Christopher.Clarke@nyls.edu.

FAFSA

Students should submit the 2018-2019 FAFSA if they will be enrolled for the 2018-2019 academic year (e.g. Summer 2018, Fall 2018; Spring 2019).

New York Law School’s FAFSA deadline for students enrolled in the summer abroad session is March 15, 2018. In addition, please note the 2018-2019 FAFSA requires 2016 tax and income data. The most reliable way to complete the FAFSA with accurate tax information is by using the online IRS Data Retrieval Tool (DRT) within the FAFSA application. As an added security measure, when linking to the IRS website from the FAFSA website, applicants will not be able to see the tax data on the DRT web page, nor will it be visible on the FAFSA website when transferred into the FAFSA form.

Note: Students with questions about filing their 2018-2019 FAFSA should schedule an appointment with the Office of Admissions & Financial Aid.

Summer Loan Application

The 2018 Summer Loan Application will be available by March 1, 2018 on the NYLS Portal (Go to Student Resources > Financial Aid & Scholarship). Students should be registered for summer classes and have their 2018 – 2019 FAFSA completed before they complete this application.

The staff of the NYLS London program will register students for their London summer courses.

Refund Checks

The Office of Student Accounts will make every effort to have refund checks available May 18, 2018. If you have plans to leave for London before that time, you can make arrangements with Student Accounts to have your check mailed or have someone pick-up and deposit your refund check for you.

For further details regarding how this process works, please contact Mr. Robert Cook, the Director for Student Accounts, at (212) 431-2321 or email him at Robert.Cook@nyls.edu.
