Richard Landman graduated from New York Law School cum laude and has practiced law since 1988. He is also a certified AICP land use planner for over 30 years. In addition to his law degree, he has three Masters Degrees (in Education, Engineering and City and Regional Planning). He teaches a land use law seminar at NYLS and taught the required land use law class at New York University's Wagner School for 7 years, and was the Director of Real Estate Development at NYU for almost 20 years, and was the Executive Director of Real Estate Development for the City of New York during the Koch Administration. He has also been the chair of Manhattan Community Board #1's Landmarks, Planning and Tribeca Committees. He is an Attorney Emeritus from his volunteer work at Housing Court and chairs the LeGaL Walk-In Clinic at the LGBT Community Center each Tuesday.
