Adjunct Professor Alan S. Cohen

Alan Cohen is a partner in Nixon Peabody’s Tax Credit Finance & Syndication practice group. His practice includes tax advantaged financing for corporate and institutional investors utilizing affordable housing tax credits and historic rehabilitation tax credits.

Alan has structured, negotiated, and closed transactions on public and private placements of limited partnership interests, syndications, and state securities in excess of $14 billion in the acquisition of more than $30 billion of properties.

Alan has lectured extensively throughout the country on both federal and state issues concerning affordable housing and historic rehabilitation tax credits.
