The establishment of the Business Law & Policy Center reflects the monumental importance of businesses and markets in the U.S. and global economy, and the highly influential role of law and lawyers in shaping businesses' and other market participants' conduct. Neither liberal nor conservative in its policy approach, the Center's special programs will reflect many diverse viewpoints on the role of law in influencing businesses, markets and society. The Center will also capitalize on the law school's unique proximity to NYC's financial markets and Wall Street law firms by building a stronger connection between these communities and the NYLS community.
