Profile Angeline Khoo is currently Associate Professor in the Psychological Studies Academic Group, National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University. She has been a tenured staff member since 1990. Before joining the University, she taught in several secondary schools for over 10 years. She obtained her PhD in Social Psychology from theAustralian National University in 1997. Her research interests include social identity and self-categorization, delinquency, adolescent sexuality and sexuality education, internet issues and digital gaming. She served as the Chairman of the Education subcommittee of the Parents Advisory Group for the internet (PAGi) for 6 years, and played a key role in the development of its training resources and research. She is also a member of the Films Consultative Panel. At present, she heads a team of 12 researchers in a research project on the effects of digital gaming on children and teenagers, which is funded by both the Ministry of Education and Media Development Authority of Singapore.
