Preview of Till Death Do Us Part with Alumna and Filmmaker Carra
Greenberg
Tuesday, April 20, 6:00–9:00pm
On
Tuesday, April 20, Stonewall and the Justice Action Center hosted alumna
Carra Greenberg in a presentation of clips from her upcoming documentary,
Till Death Do Us Part. This movie, currently in production,
follows the legal battle over same-sex marriage in California from the
passage of Proposition 8 on November 4, 2008, to the highest court the
fight reaches. As the court battle is still on-going, so is the
documentary’s production, but Ms. Greenberg joined us on the 20th to
discuss her transition from law school graduate and social justice activist
to documentary filmmaker.

Tuerkheimer presented a four part lecture on Watergate. He narrated the
essence of the Watergate story based largely on the public record coupled
to a degree by his "insider" knowledge of the events as an
Associate Special Watergate Prosecutor. Taken together, these lectures
were essentially about abuse of power and the response to such abuse by
the institutions of a healthy democracy working independently but as part
of a larger system of checks and balances.
