Paths To Parenthood: A Workshop

Wednesday, January 16 | 7:00-8:30PM | Congregation B'nai Jeshurun, 257 W. 88th Street (between West End and Broadway)

Rabbi Felicia Sol will be joined by BJ member Robin Fleischner, an adoption and assisted reproduction attorney, and Nancy Kaufman LCSW, a therapist whose practice is focused on infertility and ovum donation. The broad range of modern lifestyle choices and the revolution in medical technology have upended the traditional notion of parenthood. Today families are created in a mind-boggling number of ways, from adoption to in vitro fertilization, ova, sperm and embryo donation, to surrogacy. These paths to parenthood raise fascinating questions from an ethical, legal, psychological and Jewish standpoint. Join us for a panel discussion followed by smaller breakout sessions. Free of charge; registration is required.
