Mission Statement

MESLA was created and exists to promote and cultivate the NYLS community's interest in the fields of media, entertainment, sports and music law.  We are committed to assisting in the augmentation of education in such respective fields.

What is MESLA about?

  • Commitment to assisting our students learn about the fields of Media, Entertainment, Sports and Music. 
  • Networking events and developing networking skills
  • Where and how to find jobs in the areas of interest
  • Cultivating alumni contacts

What can you expect as a MESLA member?

  • Various discussion panels and round table discussions with lawyers working for entertainment law firms, music labels, talent and sports agencies, etc.
  • A major theme event each semester

  • Provide you with information about job and internship opportunities
  • Help you to cultivate relationships with alumni and professionals outside of the NYLS community
