Career Services:  A Professional Development Office

The Office of Career Services (OCS) offers a wide range of programs, resources and support to assist students to identify a career that meets their goals intellectually, financially and emotionally . Staff counselors provide individual counseling to help students develop career interests and goals, write resumes and cover letters, formulate job search strategies, and learn interviewing techniques, networking, and other related skills. In addition, the office works closely with our many alumni to foster relationships and provide opportunities for our students.

Events and Workshops:

The office holds a series of panel discussions and interactive workshops throughout the academic year ranging from practice specific programming to Alumni Mentor receptions to cover letter writing and interviewing prep sessions. While many of our events are held live, we also produce a number of podcasts to enhance our programming and accessibility to all students.

Equipment Available for Student Use

Computers and a typewriter are available in our Resource Center for students to use in their job search efforts. A telephone is also available for limited use to our students for local job search-related calls based on availability.
