Justin Hall

CEO

GameLayers

As CEO of GameLayers, Justin Hall leads a crack team making a game out of the entire web. Their first product The Nethernet offers players a chance to play nice or make mischief on any web site. Currently the leading MMO in a Firefox toolbar, The Nethernet began as PMOG: the Passively Multiplayer Online Game, part of Hall's MFA graduate research at the USC Film School's Interactive Media Division. Before that, Hall worked as a freelance journalist covering online communication and eletronic entertainment. Based in Tokyo and San Francisco, Hall contributed articles to Rolling Stone, the New York Times, the South China Morning Post, and he contributed the first video game reviews printed in Yoga Journal and Scuba Diving magazines. Hall's professional experience includes work with HotWired, electric minds, ZDTV, Gamers.com, Nokia’s TheFeature.com and the Creative Artists Agency. In January 1994 Hall created one of the early extensive home pages, "Justin’s Links from the Underground." In 2004, the New York Times Magazine referred to Hall as "the founding father of personal bloggers."
