Dan Hewitt

Mr. Hewitt is the Senior Director of Communications for the Entertainment Software Association (ESA), the trade association representing the business and public affairs needs of companies that publish computer and video games like Nintendo, Microsoft, Electronic Arts, and Sony Computer Entertainment of America. Since he began at the ESA in 2004, he has been responsible for developing and executing communications strategies that educate key audiences about the industry, its goals, and its consumers. At the ESA, Hewitt serves as an on-the-record spokesman in top-tier print and electronic media. He has placed numerous stories in outlets like The New York Times, The Washington Post, Associated Press, National Public Radio, 60 Minutes, and Reuters. His responsibilities also include directing and overseeing media and community relations outreach for the E3 Expo, North America’s preeminent computer and video game show, and the ESA’s charitable foundation. Dan earned his BA in Politics from The Catholic University of America. He resides in Washington, DC.
