  Mr. Michael C. Theis (pronounced Tice) currently manages advanced cyber technologies for the US Intelligence Community's use in detecting and combating trusted insider threats. His work includes efforts to define and model human behavior in cyberspace for intelligence and counterintelligence purposes. He has over 25 years of experience as a counterintelligence special agent supporting the Intelligence Community. Mr. Theis is also a computer systems engineer with 30+ years of concurrent systems engineering experience. Previously, he was the first ever Cyber-Counterintelligence (Cyber-CI) Program Manager for the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). As the Chief of Cyber-CI, he provided management and oversight for the CI aspects of all information systems that support NRO programs and activities, to include detecting and deterring the insider threat.
