Faculty Presentation Day has been part of New York Law School’s
life for a decade. This year we return to this important event, but in a
reinvented format. As our school has worked to link faculty scholarship
and student learning – both about scholarship itself and about
lawyering skills – so it now seems right for this day to be a
“Faculty/Student Presentation Day.”
Faculty/Student Presentation Day will take place on Thursday, April 12,
2012. That is also the day that the school and the New York Law School Law
Review will host a symposium on the Supreme Court in celebration of the
work of Dean and Professor Emeritus James Simon. That symposium will begin
in the early afternoon. We’re very pleased that the lead-up to that
event will be a set of concurrent panels, starting at 9 AM and running
till just before the Supreme Court events begin, and featuring both NYLS
faculty and students. We look forward to showcasing, in these panels, some
of the scholarly work, the teaching, and the real-world projects that our
community is generating.
The full program will be posted soon
– so please check this space!
