Joyce D. Saltalamachia

Professor of Law

Joyce D. Saltalamachia returned to New York Law School for the 2005–06 academic year after serving a two-year term as deputy director of the Association of American Law Schools (AALS) in Washington, DC—the first law librarian to be selected for this position. An expert on the delivery of services in academic law libraries, she also has extensive experience in the law school accreditation process and has served on numerous law school site evaluation teams for the American Bar Association and the Association of American Law Schools.

She has written extensively on delivery of services in academic law libraries, as well as on issues of modern legal research.

Professor Saltalamachia is active in the American Bar Association, including its Gavel Awards Screening Committee that honors publications and other media that have “illuminated the law to the lay public.”
