William Wang is a Professor of Law at the University of California Hastings College of Law. He joins New York Law School for the fall 2011 semester to teach Corporations and Corporate Finance. Professor Wang has also taught at Brooklyn Law School, University of California Davis, University of California Los Angeles, University of San Diego School of Law, Villanova University, and Leiden University in the Netherlands. Professor Wang served as a member of the FINRA (formerly NASD) National Adjudicatory Council and as a full-time consultant to the White House Domestic Policy Staff. From 1997 to 2011, he served as chair of the Investment Policy Oversight Group of the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) and from 2000 to 2011 as a participant with the LSAC Board of Trustees. Prior to academia, he worked on Wall Street for a firm engaging in risk arbitrage. Professor Wang is the co-author of a treatise, Insider Trading (Oxford University Press, 3d. ed., 2010). He has also written numerous articles in law journals, magazines, and newspapers.
