From on campus, you’ll go directly to the website. If you’re off campus, you’ll be asked to login with your name and NYLS Library barcode number.
|Some hints when using ALM websites: You NEED NOT sign in on the website page to access the full text of articles. DO NOT subscribe, or respond to pop-ups offering a subscription; just click past them. If the website refuses you access to the full text of any article, contact the Library with your specific request.|
TO SIGN UP FOR ALM NEWSLETTER ALERTS:
First time users will need to register an account when you are on campus. Point your browser to:
|Before submitting your registration, make sure to un-check the two boxes at the bottom. The emails referenced in these boxes are ALM advertising promotions, not the newsletter alerts you want. You can ignore the part about the 15-day trial; this is your permanent registration.|
Once you’re registered, go to any ALM publication website and sign in with your email address and the new password you’ve created.
Once you’re signed in, click on “My Account” in the upper right hand corner. Select “Manage Newsletters.”
You’ll then see a tab with all the active ALM newsletters. As an example, the graphic below shows your options for New York Law Journal newsletter alerts.
Click on “Sign Up” for as many newsletter alerts as you wish to receive.
If you need help setting up alerts, please contact the Reference Desk (email: email@example.com; voice: 212.431.2332).
