  • Bloomberg Law
    Offers a wide variety of legal and business intelligence updates. To use the service you must obtain a username and password. 
  • BNA Weekly Reports
    Coverage of developments in health care, business, labor relations, law, economics, taxation, environmental protection, safety, and other public policy and regulatory issues. Search or register for email updates. 
  •  Conference Alerts
    A list of upcoming conferences worldwide, in a wide range of disciplines including law, organized by topic. Email updates available.
  • Federal Register 2.0
    The daily journal of the federal government’s administrative branch. Includes a blog, as well as electronic delivery and social media options for specific subjects. For daily table of contents emails, follow links from here.
  • Index to Legal Periodicals (EBSCO)
    The ILP provides citations to legal periodicals to more than 850 legal periodicals including legal journals, law reviews, yearbooks, institutes, statutes, bar association publications, university publications, and government publications.
  • Jurist Legal News
    A respected source, hosted at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. JURISTS’s Paper Chase daily digest of legal alerts is available in email or RSS feed.
  • Law Blogs
    A list of blogs and blog-finding tools, compiled by our Library staff.
  • Law.Com
    Daily legal news from the editors of the National Law Journal and Legal Times. Some articles are available only with a paid subscription, but you can register to receive free “Newswire” alerts via email or Windows-only desktop widget.
  • Law Reviews with Online Content
    Links to law review sites, compiled by our Library staff. Every linked journal posts the full text of its most recent issue, at minimum, for free. Nearly all in PDF, and many archived issues are posted. For a shorter list of links to local and most-cited law reviews click here.
  • Legal Scholarship Blog
    Law-related calls for papers, conferences and workshops. Email and RSS feed options.
  • Legal Scholarship Network
    Search for research papers, or register for a variety of current awareness subscriptions (some for faculty only.)
  • LegalTrac (Legal Resource Index)
    Offers indexing for all major law reviews, legal newspapers, specialty law publications, bar association journals and thousands of law-related articles from general interest publications. Also includes the full text of selected journal articles in PDF format.
  • LexisNexis Alerts
    Instructions for setting up automatic updates to Lexis searches.
  • Library Routing Profile (for NYLS faculty)
    The Library creates a “Current Awareness Routing Profile” for each faculty member. Each September, information regarding your current selection profile and the various services available will be e-mailed to you for review.
  • New Books and Resources in the Mendik Library - three ways of keeping current:
    > Mendik New Titles - A New Books Blog - available as an RSS feed or email subscription.
    > New Book Acquisitions - the most recent months' lists, in HTML format.
    > New Books By Subject - dynamic searches of popular subjects in our catalog. 
  • New York Law Journal
    Court information, decisional law, and advance word on new statutes and regulations, coupled with practical analysis, scholarly insight, and professional perspective from the editors of the New York Law Journal. 
  • SSRN - Social Science Research Network - Register for e-mail subscriptions (with your NYLS email address)  to subject journals that gather abstracts of works-in-progress, working papers, and articles accepted for publication. This is an excellent way to keep up with forthcoming work in a subject specialty.
