Currently, NYLS faculty members are using different systems to maintain Web pages for their courses: NYLS Blackboard (on the school’s own web servers), TWEN (The West Education Network), and LexisNexis, and a standalone version of Blackboard (for courses taught online).

The majority of course web pages are on the NYLS Blackboard system. You can access it through the “My Courses” tab on the NYLS Portal.

For web courses hosted on LexisNexis and Westlaw, you must have an account on each system in order to register for the web course for each class you are taking. The step-by-step instructions to complete this self-enrollment process are found at the links below.

Lost or forgotten LexisNexis or Westlaw passwords

For security reasons, NYLS Library staff no longer have the ability to view or obtain any LexisNexis or Westlaw passwords. Please contact the vendor for further assistance with your passwords:

Please make sure you update both your LexisNexis and Westlaw ID registration with your current email address (preferably NYLS). NYLS faculty will be using the email component of both the LexisNexis and Westlaw webcourses. That email is sent to the email address on file with the vendor. It is strongly recommended you update your account with your NYLS email address, since you will have that until you graduate.
