A conversation with Hassan Jabareen chaired by Professor Ruti Teitel

Hassan Jabareen is a Palestinian human rights lawyer and the Founder and General Director of Adalah, the Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel. Jabareen is also a lecturer at Tel Aviv University Buchman Faculty of Law and the author of numerous scholarly articles on citizenship, identity, transnational lawyering, and constitutionalism. A former Senior Robina Visiting Human Rights Fellow at Yale Law School in 2012 and 2013, Jabareen has received several awards for outstanding public-interest lawyering.

Ruti Teitel is the Ernst C. Stiefel Professor of Comparative Law at New York Law School; Director of New York Law School’s Institute for Global Law, Justice, and Policy; and author of Humanity’s Law (Oxford University Press, 2012) and Globalizing Transitional Justice (Oxford University Press, 2014).
