Aurora Cassirer, Partner and Executive Committee Member, Troutman Sanders

Aurora-Cassier-149x149Aurora Cassirer is an experienced trial attorney whose varied litigation practice has included many business, banking, insurance, real estate, employment, and professional liability matters. She has had substantial experience in securities fraud class actions, as well as breach of contract, qui tam, fraud, and valuation actions. She has counseled companies experiencing financial difficulties and has represented various financial institutions, including foreign and domestic banks, seeking to restructure debt. In the area of professional liability, she has defended professional liability claims against actuaries, attorneys. and consultants. Ms. Cassirer served as Receiver for Starr & Co. LLC. and Starr Investment Advisors LLC in the SEC v. Kenneth Ira Starr matter, and has served as the Chapter 11 Trustee in a complex bankruptcy case, The Estate of David Schick (1996-2004), which generated various litigations and reported decisions. She has also represented a number of creditors in several bankruptcy cases.


Jay Grushkin, Senior Finance Partner, Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy

A partner since 1991, he was previously Managing Partner of the firm’s Tokyo office and prior to that was resident in the firm’s Hong Kong and Washington, D.C., offices. Mr. Grushkin is the Senior Hiring Partner for the New York office and a member of the firm’s Diversity Committee.He has a highly diversified international finance practice, involving secured and unsecured lending, project finance, structured finance, transportation finance, private placements, and private investment funds. William Rochelle, Editor at Large, Bloomberg News

ah_rochelle_150x150William Rochelle is a bankruptcy columnist and editor-at-large for Bloomberg News in New York. Before joining Bloomberg in 2007, he was a bankruptcy lawyer for 35 years, the last 17 as a partner in the New York office of Fulbright & Jaworski LLP. In his column for Bloomberg, Mr. Rochelle covers upwards of 20 companies a day, reporting developments in pending Chapter 11 cases and identifying businesses that might end up in reorganization. He also has a weekly video. He received both his undergraduate and law degrees from Columbia University, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar in the law school. Mr. Rochelle appears frequently as a commentator on Bloomberg Radio and Bloomberg TV.


Peter Sacripanti, Co-Chair, McDermott Will & Emery

Based in New York, he concentrates on complex litigation, including class action litigation, products liability litigation, and multiparty mass tort matters. His clients include a multinational petroleum company for which he has served as national trial counsel in more than 100 environmental and products liability litigation matters. Mr. Sacripanti has been ranked among the country’s top lawyers by Chambers USA. His programs frequently investigate the current state of law firm economics and the challenges facing law students preparing to enter the workforce. Prior to joining Bloomberg Law, Mr. Pacchia clerked for the Hon. Raymond T. Lyons in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey. He joined Bloomberg Law in 2007. His media appearances include Bloomberg TV and Bloomberg Radio. Mr. Pacchia holds a J.D. from New York Law School and a B.A. from Wesleyan University. He lives in New York City.
