New York Law School Names Adam W. Barrett New Associate Dean of Admissions
New York, NY (September 10, 2012)—Adam W. Barrett has been appointed Associate Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid at New York Law School (NYLS), announced Anthony W. Crowell, Dean and President of the Law School. Barrett, who joins the School on September 10, will spearhead its efforts to attract and retain a talented, diverse, and dynamic student body.

New York Law School offers the J.D. degree through full-time day and part-time evening divisions. It also offers Master of Laws (LL.M.) degrees in Taxation, Real Estate, Financial Services Law, and American Business Law, as well as a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Mental Disability Law Studies.
Barrett joins the leadership team of Dean Crowell, who took office at NYLS in May after serving as Counselor to New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg.

I look forward to playing a key role on his senior management team,” Associate Dean Barrett said.
Barrett’s most recent admissions role was as Assistant Dean for Enrollment Management and Special Advisor to the Dean at the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law. In that capacity, he led all admissions-related activities including the development and implementation of student-centered enrollment plans to support the law school’s enrollment goals for quality and diversity. In addition to his time at McGeorge, he has held leadership roles in the admissions offices of Texas Wesleyan University School of Law and Ohio Northern University Claude W. Pettit College of Law.
Barrett received a B.S. from the University of New Hampshire, where he studied government and political science, and a J.D. from the Ohio Northern University Claude W. Pettit College of Law.
