What is the Public Interest Auction? The Public Interest Auction raises money to help fund students working in otherwise unpaid summer public interest positions.
How can I donate? If you are interested in donating an item, service, or cash to the Public Interest Auction, please email the details of your donation to hprigal@nyls.edu.
When/Where is the Auction? The auction will be held on April 4, 2012 in the Events Center at New York Law School, starting at 6:00 p.m.
How does the silent auction work? Items will be on display around the room and you can sign on the bidding sheet for the item you want. You can use your name or bid anonymously by getting a bid number at the door. You need to keep checking the sheet to see if you’ve been outbid.
How does bidding work? For the live auction, you can get a bid number at the door or just put up your hand to bid!
What methods of payment are allowed? We accept cash, MasterCard or Visa, and personal checks.
What type of items can I donate? We accept pretty much anything!
What types of organizations do the students work
for? Proceeds from last year’s auction helped provide
funding for students to work with federal and state judiciaries, public
defenders’ offices, district attorney’s offices, and other
public interest legal employers. For a complete list of where our
students worked, click here.
