Trust & Estate Experts at New York Law School Win Writing Award

New York, NY (January, 15, 2008)—John J. Reddy Jr., New York Law School Board of Trustees member and Marc S. Bekerman, Associate Director of the Graduate Tax Program have been awarded with a 2007 Excellence in Writing Award for Trust & Estate Best Practical Use Article from Probate & Property magazine for their two-part article entitled, “Essential Steps to Take After ‘Finishing’ The Estate Plan,” that ran in the March/April and May/June issues of the magazine.
 
Probate & Property magazine, a publication of the American Bar Association, announced the award in their Jan./Feb. 2008 issue.
 
John J. Reddy Jr. is the President of the New York Law School Alumni Association and a member of the Board of Trustees. He is counsel to the Public Administrator of New York County and a partner in the firm of Bekerman & Reddy, LLP. He received his J.D. from New York Law School in 1979.
 
Marc S. Bekerman is the Associate Director of the Graduate Tax Program and an Adjunct Professor at the Law School, teaching a variety of courses related to trusts and estates in both the J.D. and LL.M. programs. He is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, and California, as well as a number of federal courts including the United States Tax Court. Bekerman received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, and his LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law.
