Members of the Writing Program Faculty

Second of a two-term sequence that began with Legal Reasoning, Writing and Research. Students are introduced to different forms of legal advocacy, and work individually and in teams preparing graded appellate briefs. Teams are paired with adversaries and exchange written reply briefs. The ability to write clear, persuasive prose is stressed in individual feedback on the assignments. As in the first term, legal research is the subject of additional class sessions. The course culminates in a graded moot court, in which teams orally argue the case on which they have been working during the semester.
