Professor Michael Sinclair

Begins with progressive exercises in grammar and its application in reading statutes.  Then covers techniques of analyzing statutes such as check lists and flow diagrams.  The last half covers the use and abuse of legislative history and the debates on its propriety, and canons of interpretation and their justifications.  Grading is based on a final examination.
