Q. WHO CAN TAKE THE FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT COURSE?
A. Any consumer who has an interest in improving his/her financial management knowledge is eligible for this financial management course, subject to space availability.
Q. DO CONSUMERS HAVE TO PAY FOR THE COURSE?
A. No! The course is offered FREE of charge.
Q. WHAT IS TAUGHT IN THE COURSE?
A. The course covers financial topics designed to improve people's understanding of money and money management. Topics include: the nature, use, and cost of credit (including how to calculate interest and minimum payments); common consumer scams to avoid; credit reporting; credit scoring; saving and planning techniques; and financial goal setting strategies.
Q. HOW IS THE COURSE TAUGHT?
A. The course offers practical skills and uses interesting and interactive materials. A specially designed workbook, based upon proven financial planning concepts and methods, has been developed for the course.
Q. WHO TEACHES THE COURSE?
A. Trained financial educators teach the course. These include community development leaders, lawyers, bankers, financial counselors and teachers.
Q. WHAT CAN CONSUMERS EXPECT TO RECEIVE FROM THE COURSE?
A. In addition to financial management information and tips that are interesting and informative, participants receive a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT GUIDE to keep for their own use.

A. Courses are offered in a number of convenient locations throughout the five boroughs of New York City.
