Cairns is graphical groupware for visualizing the work of groups. Its success depends upon building a network among the community of collaborative practice. The more groups that participate, the better Cairns will be.
Click here to read about why you should participate.
The visual software is based on an information taxonomy designed to map the assets of any group-based project. Planning drafts of the beta-version information taxonomy and the software specification are available here.
Information about the Alpha Version of Cairns, constructed in 2002-2003, with the support of Covansys Software and the Council of Europe can be found here as well. Over sixty global experts on e-democracy and participation collaborated in the original design, which resulted in an interactive questionnaire and database.
