Professor tba

Considers the questions: What is law? Why does law have authority? What is the relation between law and morality? What is justice? Is breaking the law ever justified? Students examine answers to these questions in ancient, medieval, and modern texts. No prior study of philosophy is necessary to enroll. Students are required to complete a take-home examination.
