  • Default password is st + last 4 digits of your SSN + @nyls  Example st6789@nyls
  • This password can be changed by placing a service ticket with the Central Helpdesk at x2316 while on campus or 866 306-2769 from off campus.

    Wireless Computing

NYLS provides a wireless network for all students, faculty and staff members.  The WLAN provides users with access to numerous resources, including the NYLS Intranet site and internet site, as well as the public Internet and email via Outlook Web Access (OWA)

For more detailed wireless computing information visit the wireless network page.

    Wireless Printing

In addition to printing directly from NYLS Lab computers, you can now print to those same printers from your wireless laptop.

For more detailed information visit the wireless printing page.

    Network Drives

All NYLS users are provided access to network drives for file storage.  The U:\ drive is your personal network drive.  Only you have access to this drive, it cannot be shared with other users.  Students have a 50MB limit, so you must manage your storage space wisely.  Network drives may only be accessed via computer lab workstations.

Do not save any files on the C:\ drive of any Lab or Kiosk computer.

    Wired Computing

Data ports in A602 are live and available for student use.

For more detailed information visit the wired network page.
