There is a variety of technology and technology services available to students at New York Law School. 

Network Availability

All students have access to a secure network drive on which they can save files or applications.  NYLS has networked computers available for student use in student labs and kiosks throughout the school.  You will be provided a network ID and password upon your matriculation to NYLS.

Wireless Network Access

Students have access to the Internet, NYLS Intranet and e-mail via NYLS' wireless network.  The wireless network is available in all classrooms and all common areas of the school including the Student Lounge, Cafeteria, Stiefel Reading Room and all floors of the Library.  To be granted access to the wireless network, students must demonstrate that their laptop has up-to-date anti-virus protection and operating system patches.

Computer Labs

Computer labs are available for student use during all hours NYLS buildings are open.  The student labs are located in:

  • Student Lounge in the lower level of 'C' building (Labs L3 and L6)
  • Library 7th floor and 14th floor (40 Worth Building)

Printing

Students are able to print documents in the Computer Labs and at designated printers in the Library for a small fee per page.  Printing is available directly from networked lab computers and via the wireless network.  For more information please visit the wireless printing page.

E-Mail

NYLS uses the Microsoft Exchange Email system.  Students are required to use their NYLS email account and do so via the Outlook Web Access (OWA) web site.  OWA provides combined e-mail and calendaring functionality with access to a school-wide e-mail directory.

On-line Student Services

Students can access a variety of Student Services via EZInfo.  EZInfo is a secure web site that enables students to check their class schedule, register on-line, add and drop classes, check grades, check their Financial Aid award status and Student Account balance.  To access EZInfo go to http://www.nyls.edu/ezinfo where you can login with your Student ID and PIN.

 

Technology Services

Help Desk

The OIT Central Help Desk provides technology support 24 x 7  including Holidays and Weekends via phone.

The On Site Help Desk provides Tier 1 troubleshooting support for most hardware and software problems and is staffed M-F 9:00am-6:00pm.  Problems requiring additional attention are escalated to on-site technical staff.  Examples of solutions the Help Desk can provide are:  software usage questions, initial troubleshooting of hardware and printing problems.

Network Services

Network Services works with the Help Desk to provide wired and wireless network support, wireless printing and maintenance of student network drive resources.
