Please check back periodically for reading assignments. We will be updating the course listing page as faculty create or update their courses. Although a course may exist, a faculty member may not yet have uploaded class materials to her/his site.

Currently, faculty members are using different systems to maintain Web pages for their courses: TWEN (The West Education Network), LexisNexis, Law School's own Web servers and a stand alone version of Blackboard.

The majority of course web pages are on the LexisNexis system.  You must enroll in the web course for each class you are taking.  The step-by-step instructions to complete this self-enrollment process are found at the links below.
Enrolling in LexisNexis web courses (requires LexisNexis ID)
Enrolling in Westlaw TWEN courses (requires Westlaw ID)

LexisNexis or Westlaw passwords

LexisNexis: To access either the LexisNexis or TWEN webcourses, you must have a registered ID.

If you need your 7-digit Lexis ID in order to to create your custom ID and password, please login to EZ-INFO. You 7 digit Lexis ID can be accessed through the Student Records menu

For security reasons, LexisNexis sales representatives, Customer Support, and the NYLS Library staff no longer have the ability to obtain or view any customer passwords. Click here for more information.

Westlaw: All students may access EZ-INFO for their Westlaw password, located on the Student Records menu. Please call Westlaw at 800-WESTLAW for further assistance with your password.

Please make sure you update both your LexisNexis and Westlaw ID registration with your current email address (preferably NYLS). NYLS faculty will be using the email component of both the LexisNexis and Westlaw webcourses. That email is sent to the email address on file with the vendor. It is strongly recommended you update your account with your NYLS email address, since you will have that until you graduate.

-For Westlaw (http://lawschool.westlaw.com/), click on "Update your account information here"
-For LexisNexis (http://www.lexisnexis.com/lawschool/) click on "Update your ID registration"

If you don’t know your correct e-mail, go to the Outlook Web Access, click on the Address Book and search for your name. You will then see the correct alias to use (e.g. wsmith04)

Please be advised that you must still use EZ Info to add/drop courses. The on-line course software systems and EZ Info are not linked systems. You will not be registered for any course simply by adding your name to the web-based course page.

All on-line course are taught through a stand alone version of Blackboard.  Please contact Liane Bass, Senior Administrator for On-Line Programs at lbass@nyls.edu or (212) 431-2125.

If you have any questions about a course, please contact your faculty member or Academic Affairs.
