In 2003, New York Law School adopted a flat-rate tuition to guarantee students the same tuition rate throughout their period of enrollment. By giving students one tuition price, flat for their entire time in school, New York Law School can help students with their financial planning by eliminating the uncertainties that come with annual tuition increases. The flat tuition rate also helps assure students that their financial aid package will retain its value.

New York Law School recognizes that financing a legal education represents a sizeable investment in your future.  While the primary responsibilities of financing your legal education rests with you and your family, the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid is committed to helping you find resources to do so.  Our staff is available to meet with you to assist you in the application process, as well as counsel you on the variety of financing options available to help with education costs.

Financial aid may consist of funding from a variety of sources and may include loans, scholarships, grants and work-study.  The components of a financial aid award are determined by financial need, program, federal, state or institutional eligibility standards and may come from federal, state or institutional sources.

We recommend you apply for financial aid as soon as possible; even before learning of the admissions committee's decision.  You can file the required forms as soon as (but not before) January 2, 2008.  All students must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  The school code for New York Law School is G02783.  Students applying for New York Law School need-based grants must also file the Need Access Application, a supplemental needs analysis form.

The Office of Admissions and Financial Aid will wait until notification by the admissions committe that an offer of admission has been made before reviewing your eligibility for financial aid and offering an award.  Notification may begin as early as March 2008 and continues until all admitted applicants have received their financial aid package.

I live in Brooklyn, but went to college in Manhattan and have been commuting here on a daily basis since I completed high school. The school’s location is perfect for me. When I came to an open house for admitted students, I just liked the environment. More
