David Paul Horowitz has been actively engaged in New York state and federal practice for twenty years.  He is the author of the treatise New York Civil Disclosure 2004, published by LexisNexis, and pens a monthly column on disclosure and evidence in the New York State Bar Journal titled “Burden of Proof.”  He teaches “New York Practice” and “Advanced Civil Practice: Discovery” at New York Law School, is a Dean of CLE at the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers, and lectures frequently throughout the state for bar associations on a wide variety of topics, including disclosure.  He has lectured to judges and law secretaries on the topic of disclosure at the New York State Judicial Institute and is a member of the Office of Court Administration’s Civil Practice Advisory Committee.  He acts as an expert consultant, witness, and law practice mentor on issues involving New York State civil practice, and has authored revisions for both Weinstein, Korn & Miller and Bender’s New York Evidence.
