A description of the major keys and telephone features are highlighted below. This model is a single line telephone. It does not have a speaker phone feature.
Keys
There are two types of keys- Personal & Function.
Personal
Personal Keys are the grey keys at the top of the telephone where your primary extension (or prime line) is located. The unassigned Personal Keys can be programmed as a feature function key.
Function
Function Keys are located delow the Personal Keys. They are:
Flash Key-
This key is used to transfer calls, set-up conference calls and initiate other features.
Hold (red)-
This key you may use to place calls on hold.
Hold Lamp-
When flashing, it indicates when a call is on hold.
Message/Lamp-
When the lamp is lit, it indicates a message is waiting.
Speed Call Keys-
Telephone numbers you frequently dial can be saved on an unassigned Personal key (grey button). They are located in the same area as your telephone extension. A "speed call" key eliminate your dialing the number every time (see Features section below).
Speed Call Key Programming Button-
Used to program the Speed Call key (located beneath the faceplate) (see Features section below).
Volume Tone-
This key adjusts the volume of the Handset receiver, and the volume and pitch of the ringer.
Features
Call Pickup
When programmed into a pick-up group, you and others in the same group can "pick-up" each others calls. To use this feature do the following:

Lift the handset.

Enter the Call Pickup feature access code- #4, and then you can retrive the call.

Call Transfer
To forward a call (internal or external) to another internal extension.

Press Flash (grey key).

Dial internal extension.
|

Introduce the caller.
|

Replace the handset.
|
|
To cancel a Call Transfer- press Flash. You will be reconnected with the original caller.

Speed Call
Telephone numbers you frequently dial can be saved on an unassigned Personal key. A "speed call" key eliminate your dialing the number every time. To activate this feature do the following:

Expose the Speed Call programming button (small round grey button) by removing the plastic faceplate and designation card.

Without lifting the handset, press the Speed Call programming button.
|

Press the desired Speed Call key. Enter the number to be saved. (If it is an outside number insert 9, 1, area code and number.)

Press Speedcall programming button again.
|
|
These same instructions can be used to overwrite an old speed dial number.
|
Ringer Volume & Pitch
To change the volume of the ringer press the Volume Tone key up or down while the telephone is ringing.
Handset Volume
To adjust the handset volume, lift the handset and press the Volume Tone keys up or down.
