Conference calls can be placed on the multiline telephone desk sets (410- no display and 420- display) when this feature is activated by the network administrator. A conference call can be placed with two (2) or a maximum of eight (8) persons. Instructions for placing the call are noted below:

Call the first person, tell them to hold on. |

Press Trans/Conf (you will hear a new dial tone). |

3 |
Call the next person- tell them to hold on. |

4 |
Press Trans/Conf and the three of you will be on the line. |

Callers can hang-up and you can replace them with new persons by following the procedures noted above. |
You can add up to eight persons (the volume will decrease as each additional person is added). If you initiate the conference call you must remain on the line at all times or everyone will be disconnected. If a caller is busy, not available or does not answer, press Cancel and you will return to the original caller(s).
To split a conference call When on a conference call, it is possible to place one caller on hold while you consult with another member of the call-

Look in the display and press the blue SoftKey below the word Split. (At this point, one of the persons is on hold, while the other can respond to you.) |

Look in the display and press the blue SoftKey below the word Trade. (At this point, the former person on hold can now respond to you and the person you were speaking to is now on hold.) |

Press Trans/Conf to re-join all callers. | |
