These keys are used very often when inside voice mail.  Noted below is a description of their various functions:

Cancel an action with the * (Star) Key
Press * (Star) when you want to cancel what you are doing:

• Erase and re-record a message.

• Re-enter a destination number if you have made a mistake.

• Back-up to the previous menu.

• Exit from the main menu.

End a step with the # (Pound) Key
Press # (Pound) to proceed immediately to the next step- for example:

• Enter your mail box as soon as the system greeting begins playing.

• Skip a prompt if you already know what you want to do.

• Denote the end of a variable-length number such as a password, telephone number, or group list number.

• By-pass a standard greeting (you cannot by-pass an extended absence greeting).
