All duplicating requests must be accompanied by a completed duplicating request form.

  • Originals should be "copy ready." If the job contains paste-ups or poor quality originals or two-sided pages scattered throughout the original, mark the pages with a paper clip and alert the copy center manager. Please note that copy quality deteriorates with each pass; therefore the originals should be the best available.
  • If you are dissatisfied with the job for any reason, contact the manager at ext. 2835. If you are not satisfied with the manager's response, contact the director of business operations at ext. 2830.

Duplicating costs are charged back to each department at a rate of .041¢ per copy. This includes the cost of paper (white or color), stapling, collating, acco binding, or saddle-stitched booklets. Additional charges apply for specialty binding.

Class materials are charged to "supplements" and production is based on enrollment count. Students are entitled to one copy of each supplement for each class and are required to sign a roster sheet at time of pick-up. Students may purchase an additional copy at a rate of .041¢ per page. Unless single-sided copying is specifically requested, class materials are copied double-sided and stapled or acco bound, depending on thickness of materials. If specialty binding is requested, the cost must be approved and will be charged to the appropriate departmental budget.

Other services are available through Forrest Solutions (FS), such as color copies, transparencies, offset printing, index tabbing, and more. For information on these and other services, contact the manager at ext. 2835. The cost for these services will be invoiced directly to your department.

Distribution of materials will be made by copy center/mail room staff in accordance with distribution selections indicated on the form. If you require a special distribution, i.e., one not listed on the form, check "other" and include the distribution list along with the form.

Information of interest to students should be submitted to thisweek@nyls.edu for inclusion in the newsletter, This Week at New York Law School, published by the Office of Public Affairs. The copy center does not distribute notices to students. The Office of Student Life will post a notice on the student bulletin board upon your request.
