The Office of Marketing and Communications manages photography, videography, and media relations services for the Commencement ceremony. The information posted below is a general outline of these services as they relate to students.
For further information, please contact communications@nyls.edu or 212.431.2872.
PHOTOS OF INDIVIDUAL GRADUATES
Graduates will have opportunities to pose for formal portraits in academic regalia. Formal graduation portrait photos will be taken at the Law School by appointment, during the spring semester. Information about making appointments with the photographer will be posted on this site and sent to all graduating students, via email, early in the spring semester.
(In addition, professional photographers will take pictures of graduates on the day of the ceremony as they receive their diplomas and again as they exit the stage.)
Students receive complimentary proofs of each image along with an order form in the mail within 5 to 7 days following their individual portrait session. The order form contains instructions for placing orders via mail, phone, fax, or online. Orders paid by personal check must be submitted with the order form by postal mail. Phone, fax, and Internet orders may be paid with Mastercard, VISA, American Express, or Discover. Graduates ordering online will be offered special features such as custom cropping and gentle retouch options.

PHOTO ALBUM AND VIDEO
The Commencement photo album containing candids taken at Lincoln Center before, during, and after the ceremony will be posted on these pages and the photos will be available in digital format for printing.
A video of the commencement ceremony will also be available after the ceremony in DVD format from the Office of Alumni Relations. The video will be posted on the Commencement Web pages for a few days after the ceremony.
PRESS RELEASES TO HOMETOWN NEWSPAPERS
Form
The Office of Marketing and Communications issues press releases to the graduates' hometown newspapers based on information provided by individual graduates, and with their consent. The releases are issued in July, after the Office of the Registrar confirms the official list of graduates, honors, and awards. However, we encourage our graduating students to complete this form as early as possible.
