Delivery of course: instructor-led

With over 25 members of management who have already spent an average of 1.5 hours speaking one-on-one with the training manager, this participative workshop is another means to obtain input from members of the school.  It will enable us to develop programs pertinent to the school and individual development.  In this session we will identify areas of strength, seek input on how to work on weaknesses and determine how we can best take advantage of opportunities.

In addition, participants will be introduced to thinking about their own strengths, weaknesses and opportunities.  We will work on the beginning stages of developing individual action plans.

We will also use the New York Law School Mission Statement as a visual guide throughout the activities.

Objectives: By the end of this two-hour session participants will be able to:

Section 1

  • Provide input pertaining to their perceptions of the school’s strengths, weaknesses and opportunities
  • As a group, select 2 from each category and work to determine how best to capitalize on strengths, work on weaknesses and take advantage of opportunities
  • Share the results of the group work with the rest of the class

Section 2

  • Identify personal, work-related areas as they pertain to strengths, weaknesses and opportunities
  • Use an introductory-type of action plan to document and develop a time frame pertaining to how to utilize strengths, work on weaknesses, and how to take advantage of opportunities as each applies to their respective jobs.
  • Select 2 items that they’ve listed and share action responses with the group

Wrap Up

  • Apply what we covered and recommend training and development that would benefit the school and personally benefit the participant

We will accomplish our objectives by working individually and in groups
